Diana Armfield Biography
Painter, designer, teacher. Born in Ringwood, Hampshire. Married to the artist Bernard Dunstan. She went to school at Bedales, then studied at Slade School of Fine Art and Central School of Arts and Crafts. From 1959 she taught at Byam Shaw School of Art. In addition of being a member of Royal Academy, she is also a member of R.W.S.,N.E.A.C.,R.Cam.A and R.W.A. Among her commissions was one from the National Trust in 1988, another from H.R.H. The Prince of Wales and Government Picture Collection and the contempory Art society for Wales hold her work, and Victoria & Albert Museum holds textile work.
